Grama Bay (Karaburun Peninsula)
Best Times: June-August

Grama Bay is still one of the top wonders of the Albanian coast. Like many other secret beaches in Karaburun Peninsula, Grama is the
perfect place for those, who are looking for an intimate tour.
This must-visit site can be reached either by foot or sea. It takes a seven-hour walk from Llogara to Grama Bay. The beach is safe for
camping, yet it is not recommended when the wind is strong. Campers must take food, water, and other supplies because the area is isolated. In the past, it was used as a safe place for ships
during storms. Grama name is related to the engravings that
people made in rocks during centuries

Bristani Bay (Karaburun Peninsula)
Best Times: June-August

Around the bay there are no antique traces, but the bottom of the sea, at 10-15 meters in depth, is filled with antique pottery, mostly
amphora. The removal of broken amphibians proves that this bay, except a shelter for ships, was also a pier that served as Orik's
trade. In the north-eastern part of the bay, near the shore of the shore, in depths of meters, the skeleton of a wooden ship is kept, but the lack of facilities did not allow the time to sink it.

Sazan Island
Best Times: June-August

It is the largest island in Albania. In addition to being the largest island in Albania, it is a military zone and sometimes in clear weather it may be seen by eye from the coast of Salento, Italy in the west. Albania formally ceded the island to Italy on 2 September 1920 as part of the Albano- Italian protocol. In those years theItalian authorities built a lighthouse and some naval fortifications, and populated the island with a few families of fishermen relocated from Apulia. During the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States, Albania relied heavily on the Soviet Union. During that time, the Soviets built a Submarine Base
on the island, as well as a Chemical/Biological weapons plant. To this day, many Soviet era gas masks still can be found scattered around the valley of the island. In 2010, the island's surrounding sea waters, and those of adjacent Karaburun Peninsula were proclaimed a National Marine Park by the Albanian government.

Jali Beach
Best Times: June-August
Jali Bay just minutes from the village of Vuno is one of the most beautiful and unique places for water, sand, climate and iodine. A natural paradise drawn from human hands presents many useful features for health. If you have visited Dhermi, Himara or other beaches on the Ionian coast you missed the opportunity to see for a few hours this beach of Vuno. Vunoi Jali, is one of the most beautiful beaches on the entire Ionian coast, deeply tucked between the
olive groves and the beautiful Vunoi homes on the head, the evergreen shrubs, surrounded by high rocks that create crevices small and amazing, The unrepeatable water colors that break the emerald contrasts, deep blues, oranges glowing in the west, are a real spectacle, before which the eyebrows on insignificant will surrender.

Porto Palermo (Himara)
Best Times: June-August

Porto Palermo Castle (Albanian: Kalaja e Porto Palermos) is a castle near Himarë in southern Albania. The well preserved castle is commonly, but wrongly, asserted, by guide books and the local tourist guides, to have been built in early 19th century by Ali Pasha of Tepelena. This is untrue as the fort with its current design was built prior to the evolution of the star fort design. Most probably it was built by the Venetians as it could be relieved by sea and it has the same triangular plan with round towers found in the Venetian fort
at Butrint. Its design is very unusual in having no courtyard
However, Porto Palermo had been an ancient Greek port-town named Panormos (ΠανÏŒρμος), and it served the fortified city Cheimarra
(Χειμάρρα, now Himarë); now, the area around Cheimara was inhabited by Greek-Chaonians before the 5th c. BCE. Panormos is also
mentioned by Strabo and by Ptolemy. Most likely, Panormos was renamed during the Byzantine era (perhaps by people from Palermo,
Sicily) as Porto Palermo; the original name of Palermo in Sicily was also Panormos.

Pema e Thate Beach (Sarande)
Best Times: June-August

Pema e Thate is a small beach near Ksamil. A big sign in Ksamil says that Pema e Thate is just one km away, but it is about five km away. It
faces Corfu Island and it’s also the closest point between Albania and
the Island. This beach is different from the other beaches in southern Albania due to its shallow waters, a fact that makes it a perfect bathing place for children.
